Rabbit Adoption Goodie Bags

Providing a gift bag to individuals adopting rabbits provides adopters with additional resources and access to quality information after they get their rabbit home. The result is likely to be better quality homes for the rabbits, adopters more satisfied with the process and their new companion, as well as reduced likelihood of returns.

This sample gift bag has a value of over $60 each, but MCRS is able to provide them for free to any shelter in Minnesota that adopts out rabbits – thanks to a grant from PETCO Foundation. Each bag contains:

  • A slinky toy for the bunny
  • A catalog from Busy Bunny, maker of edible rabbit toys.
  • From Oxbow Hay Company:
    • A sample of Bunny Basics/T rabbit pellets
    • A sample of papaya tablets
    • A sample of Critter Carrots
    • A brochure about their products and detailing the importance of hay
    • A rabbit-themed word find puzzle
  • A coupon book from PETCO worth up to $40 in discounts on rabbit supplies
  • A complimentary membership to the Minnesota Companion Rabbit Society – including a year’s worth of our newsletter, The New Rabbit Thymes, full of rabbit educational information. The full newsletter is usually 24-28 pages and is published 3 times a year. View a 4-page sampler version.
  • A variety of rabbit care and behavior information, including:
    • What to expect the first week with a new rabbit
    • A schedule of upcoming rabbit classes and other rabbit events
    • Where to find more information when needed
    • A Bunny Bonding Basics brochure
    • A pencil with the reminder "Learn more –MNHouseRabbit.org"

All of this comes pre-packaged in a decorative bag to make presentation to adopters fun and easy.
